For all those wondering if this film is based on a true story simply listen to the audio commentary from Director David Green and Jamie Bell, and the whole issue of the truth of the story is told in the first 10 minutes.
Also those thinking this movei sucked or made no sense, listen to the audio commentary and you can make sense of the whole reson why the film was made and scene that seem pointless.
Could you please spoil the movie for me?Please.I think this is the movie where the uncle tell one of the boys that he is really his father. Than the uncle/boy kill the father. Is this that movie? Because I remember hearing about it, but I never saw the movie, because I couldn't remember the name.

Yeah, this is that movie. The uncle makes a surprise visit, and ends up killing his brother (the boys' father). He believes he is the oldest boy's actual father, and eventually tells him so.

I remember that its something like this, they bought the story rights from some drifter or something who said it happened to him. So some of it could be completely exagerated and they also changed some things.
