Bland

Maybe it's just me, but I've never thought serial killers a fit subject for the 'movie of the week' treatment. 'The Stranger Beside Me' was a gripping, chilling and deeply unsettling book, one of the best examples of true-crime writing I've read; but it's just too complex and multi-layered to be reduced to a 90 minute movie and retain any level of effectiveness. I thought this film lacked any real emotional depth, it did not convey, to me, any sense of time or place, and the guy who played Bundy was the Anticharisma. In a word, bland.

"That, - Captain Bligh, - that is the thing; - I am in hell, sir - I am in hell."
