Don't know about the person who said that they already saw this movie, a couple of months ago, but I went to a screening last night and they said it was the first audience that was seeing the movie.

Movie was excellent. Very funny and enjoyable. All actors did a great job.

This movie is amazing. I know the director and was able to see a sneak preview and it is awesome so when it comes out everyone should see it.

did avril lavigne really have a role in it?

reply

Yeah, did she? I'm a real big fan. And was she good at acting?

They are having a screening of this film on April 12th at the Gen Art film fest (www.genart.org). Non-members can buy tickets for $25.

I saw this at the GenArt film festival last night for the closing night event. What a repugnant piece of crap. The dialogue was drivel!!!! Mena Suvari was the only decent actor in the film. They had every cinema sterotype represented including the chainsmoking lesbian, the short sex addict, wisecracking manic agent, delusional A list Actor, boy with father addict issues who accidentally killed his mother at his grandfather's funeral (that scene was the most excruciating of all), all they were missing was someone with down syndrome!!!!

This film was insulting and the director had the audacity to get up and tell the audience that he had made the Big Chill for the now generation. What an A$$!!!!!

All in all, another 2 hours stolen from me. If you don't like FAST-FOOD CINEMA don't bite.

The Short before the film was good though. Starring, Kevin Pollack. Can't remember the name at the moment.

i couldn't agree with you more. i'm at work now, feeling like crap because i came home late from this event and even more because of what a waste of time it was.

i thought i got a good deal on this, using my credit card points to bring my friend and girlfriend to this and the afterparty.

i also felt robbed. as i said to my friend, i chose this particular night to watch this film because i figured that such an ensemble cast of known actors would only agree to do a low budget indie because maybe they believed in the script, etc. it had to be good, right? not that i ever liked them, but perhaps hanks and van der beek were trying their hands at playing against type, so maybe this was their chance?

did you attend the q&a session? my question to the director would've been 'how the heck did you pull this scam off?'

i went to the club afterward and felt like such a sellout because it was almost like i supported this particular film!

i also agree that the short, "Our Time is Up" was very good.

I too saw it at the Gen Art film Festival and found it to be entertaining and enjoyable. Kudos to the director for assembling such an impressive cast and doing such a nice job.

Colin Hanks, Jon Abrahams and Ethan Embry were a riot. It waas great to see James Van Der Beek in such an un-Dawson role. Mena Suvari was adorable.

Relatable movie, good sound track , fun time!

Are you nuts? I thought the movie was awesome. I'm a 24 year old guy and this movie was just about me and my friends. It wasn't trying to be some big artsy movie, yet it was realistic. I totally related to the stuff about getting married and moving on. The acting was awesome. Did you see Pockets? How about the lesbian? Mena Suvari and James Van Der Beek were engaging, and Colin Hanks made me laugh hysterically. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. And from what it seems the amount they made the movie for, I totally admire what the director was able to pull together.

Wasnt that great. Wait to DVD or cable. I saw it in Vegas at Green Valley Station. Didnt get real interesting, nore was it boring. Could tell it was low budget the way it was shot. Nobody was in the theathre. A bad sign for 2 showings a second week. Will problably get pulled tommorow.

reply

I personally enjoyed the movie. I saw it in Tucson the day it was released, and there were only 4 people in the theatre including me. It got pulled the next week if I'm not mistaken.

reply

It was flawed but overall still pretty good,if u like movies like The Big Chill,Garden state or Reailty Bites u will probably enjoy this
