Thanks for the judgment but to me Spartan felt like a TV movie. Worth the watch on a rainy afternoon but definitely not a great movie. I gave it 6.5/10.

Very true. Most complaints that I've read from pro critics and regular people have been about the lack of Hollywood polish, action and requisite all questions answered happy ending. I like the fact it almost feels like a European drama

Actually it is, you have to be kind of stupid to believe that Kristen Bell would willingly become a prostitute (in America prior to being trafficed off to Dubai) despite having one of the most powerful and richest men in the city as a father, and that the trafficers never even considered that she was her despite being a public figure, especially afterwards when she was all over the news daily.
