Does anyone understand what the title has to do with this movie?

I didn't understand it at all, and fell asleep about 2/3 the way through. Had to return it to the video store, and can't justify renting it again. Can someone help?

She is explaining (not very well) what will happen when she completes the painting of him.
I don't know what it means, but she did say it.
