The little smiles uggh

What was with all these little smiley expressions that had nothing behind them? It's as though the director said, smile how you feel in this scene or something.

The two girls weren't that attractive so I'm wondering why he doesn't just ask for a menage a trois and if they say no, leave the little weird twits flouncing around the house, painting and making up mermaid tales.

This movie made my skin crawl because I just didn't feel in on whatever the hell was going on. Yet it seemed like a horror flick, which I love so I hung in there until I couldn't take anymore. Uggh.
