What do people make of the drunk helicopter piloting

That's all cool to show that then? Because it sort of gave the impression it's ok to trust your safety to a drunk person like that - not a good example to kids etc when they might well be getting offered a lift from a drunk on a motorcycle or car - very bad decision to have that in a family film.

Or is the pilot going to be killed by it all? I'm still watching.

C'mon dude

I don't think there's anything harmful about making a joke out of a drunken, thoroughly uncool Icelandic helicopter pilot in a quasi-realistic film intended mainly for adults.

reply

Not too many drunk, karaoke-singing, Nordic helicopter pilots hanging out at Chuck-E-Cheese's.

I am an airplane pilot and was bothered by the drunk helicopter pilot. Flying drunk is a bit worse than driving drunk because the innocent life lost due to an accident can be significantly higher. That said, your point was the most valid. Depicting joining an intoxicated driver/pilot as something adventurous or daring is stupid and irresponsible.

reply

Yes, it is fine. Don't worry about it. Remember, just because you are driving while drunk, it doesn't mean you will get into an accident. Many many Americans drive drunk everyday and are perfectly fine. Spread the word!

I just saw this film. I am wondering if you are kidding. It's a comedy and funny he has to hop on a helicopter with a drunken, karaoke singing pilot. It's funny.

reply

It's funnier when the pilot yells out afterward "I meant you should jump in the small boat!"

Its a movie.

yeah, adventure! adventure time! lets go kill ourselves with a drunken pilot! ADVENTURE!
that scene was totally idiotic. its not adventure, its being suicidal.

You really shouldn't depart from the safety of your computer room. Be sure to have fire extinguishers, plenty of water, but also full spectrum lights because sitting in the dark like that isn't good for your eyes. Make sure you drink organic smoothies because the emi radiation from your equipment is sure to give you cancer. Oh and then there are toxic fibers in your furniture. You're being too adventurous! Suicidal! Oh my god what are you going to do?
