I've been looking for a blue print family tree chart on Madea. From the plays it's mentioned that Victoria is Madeas daughter but in the movie version shes her sister or neice. The only family tree thats stayed true from the plays & movies is that of Joe/Brian ~ Cora & The Brown Family. If anyone knows a site that can clarify the entire branch I would be appreciative
shareGot most my info from Wikipedia ~ They originally stated that in one of Tylers earlier plays he mentioned Madea's 2nd daughters name to have been called out Victoria. But they corrected that info since then. Which now reflects:
Madea has 3 children Cora, William, and another daughter. Cora has two daughters Tina and Lisa. And, her daughter has 2 daughters: Vyanne and Maylee. She has a niece named Victoria to her son William. And a nephew named Sonny.
But after researching I did see another flaw...in that of Lisa. Who is shown in the movie to be Victorias daughter but they label her as Cora's daughter. True it could be that they are two different characters but they (Wikipedia) goes on to post this:
Madea Family Reunion (play):
* Victoria: Victoria is Madea's niece. Her only apperance was in Madea's Family Reunion, she has four sons, ones name is Michael. She seems to like there pastor Reverend Lewis.
* Lisa: Lisa is the daughter of Cora Jean, and the sister of Tina. In Madea's Family she was going to get married then she decided to stay with her ex-boyfriend. As a child her father raped her and her sister on Sundays.
So all of this has me confused to whom is related to whom. Could you or someone else give me a run down on Madea's family tree. Starting either from Madea or Madeas parents and then break it down from there. Thanks.
I guess you could break the family tree down as being in two seperate continuities. So basically theres the "play" continuity and the "movies" continuity. I usually divide them that way as to avoid any serious confusion.

There really is no true continuity other than Cora being her daughter. In the play Madea's Family Reunion, Madea says she only has one child (Cora). In the play I can Do Bad..., She has Cora and Vianne/Maylee's mother as a 2nd child. In diary of a mad black woman, Cora is her daughter in law. In the movies, everything is all screwed up. Its not even worth it to try and make sense of it.
