worst movie of all time?

I think we may have found it.

reply

Care to give some reasons?

reply

Yeah? What was it? And why didn't you post this at that movie's board?

reply

I had found it to be creative, and beautiful. One of the best movies I seen in a while.

reply

Amen. And let's not forget Sissy Spacek once again turning in an amazing performance. I acutally watched this movie again IMMEDIATELY after it finished. I never do that.

reply

Perhaps we watched different films. The "Home" I watched was stunning. And Colin Farrell: a revelation. I watched it, watched it again, read the book, and a day doesn't go by when I don't think about it.

Well everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion.. but for myself.. I made the mistake of putting this movie on late and couldn't take it off. I too am looking forward to watching it again and am going to seek out the book as well. Yes, there were a number of cliches and the ending may have been slightly predictable but I thought the overall premise was handled well. I was shocked to see Colin Farrell in this role. Never was a Farrell fan.. that is.. until now.

i loved the book.. but the movie is "very" disappointing..
maybe it's different when you don't know the book..

reply

the movie, wow i just saw it, and i have to say, why didnt the god d blockbuster clerk tell me this would be the gayest movie i would ever see. sickens me.

reply

Don't you worry, honey. If gay movies scare you, and THIS is the gayest one you ever see in your life, you'll be just fine.

This film is very weak, pretentious and the emotion seems very staged. Sissy Spacek saves her scenes but no one else is even worth mentioning. Sorry, I'm not homophobic but I did not like this film. Now I will be accused of being homophobic, so be it, I thought Brokeback Mt. was garbage as well.

reply

Whether or not that makes you "homophobic" depends on *why* you don't like it. Only you can say for sure, and I haven't even mentioned the word until now. My comment was a direct response to what juggernaut said. I really don't care if people dislike the movie.

I can't be bothered to go into details as to why I don't like it.

I just watched this movie for the first time and really enjoyed it. I found it to be quite moving. But then I have a high degree of patience for "meandering" movies that are less about strict and predictable plot structure than they are about exploring characters.

I can understand why this movie might not appeal to a lot of people, either because of the content or because of the movie-making style, but worst movie ever? Considering some of the utter crap I've seen in my lifetime it's laughable anyone would label it that.

reply

Read the book. It's impossible to get past Colin Farrell's wigs. Seriously.

Because it's the only way they'll ever get their fifteen minutes of fame.

No, no...I think Glitter still holds that title.
