definetely agree that Carlton was hot.
he was the PERFECT actor for him i think.

his name is Ryan Donowho.
I saw him in Imaginary Heroes the night before i saw this movie.
and i was reading this book that day.
and i thought....wow...he would play like the perfect Carlton.
and...i was right.
haha.

as for the hating colin farell...im not sure if i hate him or not.
but i definetely LOVED him in this movie.

Ryan is soo hot and when Carlton died it was terrifying! That scene left me haunted for days. I mean he was so laid back and carefree but that's what got him screwed. Uggh, I still can't think about it without getting freaked out!

and guess as he broke there a piece of glass got into his neck.

It was a bit hard for me to believe that he'd smash right through the door like that. I mean, I remember running into my sliding door at home and just falling backwards. Could happen, I guess...

I think Carlton was a big flower child. He gave his little bro LSD to see the world more clearly. So when he ran into the glass door, I cringed. He must have been tripping.

It makes me think of my girlfirend, when she carelessly walked into the glass door and broke her nose. I couldn't help but laugh my ass off.

re: the circumstances of the brother's death -- it is interesting to note that the name of the acid he and his little brother Bobby were dropping was called "Windowpane." Perhaps the inability to clearly discriminate between reality and illusion is fatal.

Ryan Donowho's Calton was magnetic and his interaction with young Bobby in the first few scenes of the movie had set the tone of the whole film: fellowship, sexuality, sharing, companionship, love, care, life & death, a different perspective from an altered state of consciousness, gentleness, tenderness, playfulness, humour, openness, acceptance.
I found his appearance and performance impressive, an eye-catcher that captured our heart into the interwoven, complex themes of the movie.

i love him as Johnny on The O.C.! He sure is adding a little spice to the show. He is sooo good looking! I can't believe he is 25 though...he looks like is in High School. He is a great actor!
