He went to my university; one of the reviews descried this film as a ‘Dismal turd.’

yeah, and he is teaching me this year as well. He was a really nice/funny guy when he came in for a talk last year.

Man...you should shoot him. just to be sure he never makes another movie like that...

I disagree. Found this to be a highly enjoyable genre mix: The style was to my liking, the actors were doing fine, and the story was weird and horrific.
Surely a movie that will stay with me.
