TO NANCY: TRULY GREAT FILM -- WHERE IS THE DVD? WAITED A LONG TIME

WHERE IS THE DVD OF THIS FINE FILM?

This movie, with its hugely empathetic characters and moving performances, is a real gem. I saw it four years ago and unfortunately it got somehow botched by Showtime, who financed it (?) and then shelved and/or dumped it.

It is one of the best looks at the immigrant experience ever put on film, even more powerful than the great Bread and Roses by Ken Loach. Nancy Savoca hit the bullseye with this one, folks. I would say to see it by all means -- but you won't be able to, because it is NOWHERE -- on VHS or DVD.

A damn shame.

If anyone knows how to get a copy, please email me: [email protected].

Nancy, please -- if you read this, clue us in. This film has to reach a wide audience via DVD -- it is just too good to be buried like this.
