Prostitutes are Wonderful People

I've never watched Cathouse before, but right now it's playing in the background. And under the right settings prostitution provides a valuable purpose. i've never been with a prostitute nor have had the desire to, but i can see myself with one if I couldnt have my desires fulfilled. the brain is the largest erogenous zone, and even if its straight up *beep* they provide a service for people. its harsh to say, but there are people in this world who are damn near *beep* and prostitutes help those people without judgments and a smile.

so here's to the prostitutes!

There's a book called "Love for Sale- a History of Prostitution" or something.

I didn't know that until stupid Christianity came into the picture, prostitutes were actually considered to be high standing sexual healers in their villages, courted and patronized by "important" types, instead of the lowest common denominator. Providing the most awesome of services to high-ranking men was considered to be fine work and there were even temples devoted to women who could play the role that no other woman in mens lives could play- the woman who would give him what he needed without judgment or shame. And every high ranking man has hired a woman for sexual services, so to degrade the women seems REALLY silly. Almost every great man in history has either sought the services of a whore or had a "kept woman". But you won't read about that in your history books.

No matter what your opinion of prostitution, don't insult the women. Because it is, after all, NOT about supply. It's ALL about demand. Remember that next time you feel like ragging on the local hooker and calling her a skank.

When you degrade a woman who is a hooker by calling her a skank, what does that make men who patronize them? Lovers of skank? Gullible fools? Normal men following their biological urges? How about we just let people have sex, and live and LET live. Both of them are victims of a society that uses "morals" to shame the one thing ALL humans do- have sex. Anything to keep it from being enjoyable, right? If it's not religion, it's the laws, etc. HUMANS MUST NOT ENJOY SEX, they must enjoy violence. Especially in countries like America, Australia, and places like the UK. Get over yourselves. Sex is one of only two things ALL cultures and societies have in common. Prostitution is the other. As Tom Robbins put it, the Earth is basically just a throbbing sexual globe.

Anyway, no matter how you slice it, prostitutes are more popular than Jesus and the Beatles combined. They always have been, they always will be.

And nowadays, with homosexuality becoming less stigmatized, conservatives are especially into prostitutes, which is weird because they have such a self-delusional viewpoint of prostitution and it's "moral liabilities", but they sure don't seem to mind gay prostitutes. Jeff Gannon, Larry Craig, Ted Haggart- none of this should be making the news but it does because of backwards viewpoints about sex. This is how you can tell the enlightened from the delusional- how they view sexuality of women. Do you think Ann Coulter would be so abrasive if she would just admit that she were a lesbian? Progressive people air their dirty laundry because they are evolved enough to not think of it as something shameful. Getting oral satisfaction or lying thousands of soldiers into their death in an unnecessary war- which would YOU prefer the men in power be doing with their free time?

It's only after the three Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam) began dominating the world that whores were degraded and disrespected and shamed and women in general were told their sexuality was something to be repressed (as men STILL chose to go out and screwed everything that walked). Before that, a woman who could teach you how to enjoy sex to the fullest was considered something worth paying the highest buck for. Some of them were considered priestesses. Hell, read Siddhartha by Herman Hesse, one of the calssics of Western literature. It seems even the Buddha (and Jesus) appreciated whores. Really, who wouldn't? Besides hypocrites, busybodies, prudes, and the sexually repressed. Mary Magdalene might have been a prostitute if she existed, but I would also bet she were one of the desciples, only banished from that role because she didn't possess the proper genitalia to be respected as such in her time and place. Such is history.
