Cast....

Just nitpicking here, i love these documentries but what is with the casting for the actors????! I would have thought David Starkey would have been involved in the casting, and therefore have made it more accurate than it was?

For example, Catherine of Aragon, at the beginning is played by a woman who must be in her late twenties at least judging my the wrinkles (playing a 16 year old). She is also very dark and 'spanish' looking, when Catherine was known to be, despite her spanish heritage, quite fair.

In the same episode, when Henry marries Catherine, he is played by a man who must be in his thirties, with a beard. Umm...Henry was 2 months shy of being 18, and did not have a beard at that time!

Simmilarly all the actresses playing the wives, all seem to be quite old...the only logical reason for this that i can see, is to save money, use the same actress for all the stages in each wife's life - what a shame. I know for some people it wouldn't even register, but for someone with an interest in the Tudor Dynasty, it can be very offputting.

Please David Starkey, re-think which casting director you use/director you use, or pay more attention yourself please!!
