Worst sukeban film.

I love the Pinky Violence collection, I love Suzuki as a director and obviously I appreciate all of Miki Sugimoto and Reiko Ike's work but this particular film was so absurd in the story that it defied all logic.

Where were the traditional extreme color shots and wierd angles that Suzuki was known for?

Where was the meanness of the sukeban revenge?

The films violence, especially at the end was cartoonish, a fire extinguisher against yakuza men with guns. Blocking a door with pillows to blow up a room with dynamite.

I dont even think Norifumi Suzuki was present on the set for the directing of this movie.

No wonder it didnt make it in the Pinky Violence collection.

I don't know, man. Of course this is not as good as GIRL BOSS GUERILLA. But that rock music over the first shot of the bridge? The silly epilogue with the different stolen cars? I find plenty to like here.

I watched Sukeban yesterday for the first time. It's my first exposure to the genre. I've never seen nothing like this in my life...but it sure seemed familiar thanks(?) to Kill Bill. Sukeban is fantastic stuff. Girl Boss Guerilla I didn't like that much. Maybe because I was expecting more of the same, this time I got a melodrama.
