Where is the recording of Holmes??

It mentions that a collector gets a wax cylinder of Holmes talking. I can't find any reference to this anywhere else. It's infuriating.

It's in New Jersey somewhere. But you might want to think twice. You'll never hear it. The guy who owns it claims it is too fragile to play so the only evidence is a transcript someone made of the contents. Surprised they don't try to put it in a 3-D scanner to make a copy.

The scratchings are actually visible to naked eye. But you are right, the $300.00 scanner you'd buy online would not have that resolution. We're talking University or industry level equipment. I don't know who makes it but there is at least one out there that can pick up the oils off a fingerprint.

Probably but when I mentioned thinking twice I was questioning the authenticity of the recording. In American Ripper, a lot of Jeff Mudgett's evidence was called into question but he refused to accept that it was wrong.
