the boy in hole + falling woman

Sorry for combining two (sets of )questions, I put them in title to maintain overview

In Jung Wons flashback, he sees a boy being hit by the back of a truck. It appears the driver just puts the boy in a hole and drives away. Apparently the boy has to testify about it and his father is upset or something about it.
Was the father the driver of the truck?
Then he goes on to school, where some call him psychic (I thought Yun was psychic...) and he draws spirals but his father comes in and beats him up? Why? And who is the girl next to him??
Then he thinks of a way to kill his father (what way?) and to keep his sister alive in the closet (what on earth was he trying to do by putting her in the closet) , and why do the father and sister die (she really looks all burned) and he looks only dirty??

The falling woman? I was having trouble seeing the links between all the deaths and their chronologic order. We have a boy run over, two babies dropped dead, two poisonned girls on a subway, a woman throwing herself of a balcony, and a girl burned alive??
So the falling woman really made no sense to me? Was she the woman making all that fuss about her cat in the elevator? Why did she kill herself, she seemed quite happy (or was that just a facade) And did that happen before or after her baby died?

Sorry for all the questions, I am not dissing this movie or anything, I wanna love it and that's why I wanna understand.

I saw this movie several years ago so i'm not sure about my memories, but i'm pretty sure about it at the same time coz i loved it so much when i watched it.

1. Nobody except JUNG-WON saw the accident, so people supposed that a boy who was hit by a truck was missing. JUNG-WON told them that the boy was in a hole, but didn't explain how he knew about it - probably his father was a driver of the truck so didn't let him tell the fact. Thus ppl thought that he is gifted of psychic something coz he found the body without any clue. When it comes to the death of the boy, ppl believed that it was a mysterious accident or an accident caused by himself(coz he was too young to notice the danger), not by a car or something like that. As you know, usually the accident by a car is not like that - although the boy was hit by car, his direct cause of death was a fall. Therefore it's hard to imagine that the thing that pushed the boy into the hole was a car.
Therefore JUNG-WON was thought as a psychic who makes good hits, ppl started to come to him to ask fortunetelling, though he has no idea about that kind of stuff as a matter of fact. However, it made money! Thus his father forced him to keep doing that, even didnt allow him to go to school to save time for fortunetelling(what a bastard!). However, he still wants to go backepk to school("I also want to go to school", he said), so after one of his classmates showed off a 'circle' for the correct answer on the test-paper(that means this boy goes to school), he couldn't help thinking of that, thus he drew spirals as 'several circles for the several correct answers' on a charm which his customer asked. Thus the customer doubted his ability as a psychic - the simple spirals are not the things that are usually expected to be on a charm, so his father got angry about this serious 'fault' his son made which can affect son's reputation as a psychic that gives money so beat him up. This led him hate his father much more than before(he had not been a good father..), so he decided to kill him by burning. He kept his sister in a closet before he brought a fire, coz he thought that was a safe place - whenever his father started to beat them(JUNG-WON and his sister), they usually hid in the closet so they can escape from that situation, i suppose.

The falling woman, at the last scene, was YUN. You remember that after JUNG-WON denied all the things he experienced, she told him that she's gonna make him see the truth( YUN : "People don't see a fact. People only see the things as a fact which they want to believe as a fact" i dont remember exactly though..? I think, the truth is, JUNG-WON 'really' has an ability as a psychic - he sees dead ppl. However, he doesn't want to believe it is true coz it's connected with his cruel past which he forgot - or he wanted to forget. At the very last scene, YUN asked JUNG-WON "How is the food". at that time, YUN was a ghost. Yun proved that JUNG-WON can see the ghost by killing herself.

Finally, here is the chronologic order ; (1)a boy run over (2) a girl burned alive (3)two babies dropped dead (4) two poisonned girls on a subway (5) a woman throwing herself of a balcony

sorry for my poor english. it's not my first language, though.

Thanks for those plot summary, you answered questions I had, however whats the deal with the 2 dead girls on the subway? They didnt have anything to do with jung-won or yun? I totally thought the girl on trial for killing her baby was on the mother of those 2 girls. The entire movie i was trying to see what linked the 2 girls and the murdering mom and yun. There was no connection I guess. And why did jung-won see those girls? Especially if there was no connection. It cant be just that he can see dead people, because apparently up till that point he's gone about his entire life NOT seeing dead people until those 2 girls, which started him on this whole "what the hells going on" mode. What did i miss?

naree0919 answered just about everything spot on. Well Spixe, I'll see if I can answer some of your questions. Remember how Jeong-won got hit on the head when he was helping out with renovations? I think that is the turning point. Now lets take a step back and I'll explain. Jeong-won experienced death twice before hitting his head. The death of his father and sister from his childhood, I think, made Jeong-won unlock an ability to see the dead. Remember how he couldn't recall anything before he was 7 years-old? Because the death of his sister was such a shock, his brain forgot all the harmful memories, and this included his newly adapted ability. Now back to present day, the death of the two kids and the knock to the head made him partially remember his past. What he unconsciously remembered was not his sister and father's death, but his long and once lost ability to see the dead. He keeps seeing the dead kids because those two were the only ones he saw dead in-person. He can't have seen anyone else because, he never saw them actually "die". His sister and father does not count because he doesn't remember them at that point in the movie. My interpretation makes sense in the end because he sees Yeon at the table with him. Remember how Jeong-won saw Yeon commit suicide (before jumping Yeon asks Jeong-won to look closely, to not even blink)? Again, she only appears because he has actually seen her die.

Hope this helps.
