Carson seemed to really be trying to be a star

Wasn't as familiar with this show when it came out. Upon rewatching it, Carson seemed to be acting a little selfishly to me. He was really trying to sort of outdo the others in trying to be clever and was probably consciously trying to be a breakout character which I don't think is good ensemble acting and that's essentially what this show was.

I agree. Carson also really played into the horrible stereotype of a flamboyant gay man.

And I think it's funny that Ted, who sometimes showed leadership, but mostly focused on his area-- food has gone on to have the biggest career with Chopped, Uncorked, Top Chef, Iron Chef, Next Food Network Star, Best Thing I Ever Ate, and more.

Carson tried to be a fashion expert and did a few E! specials, but people got tired of his schtick and he dropped off the radar.

Carson - the douchiest, creepiest, jerkiest of the group. He'd of sold them all out for a buck.
