music

Hey, can anyone help us out here ?? the theme music for hardware REALLY reminds us of an old tv show or movie, but we cant for the life of us figure out what it is.
Any clues????

I too find the theme to be very familiar. Sounds like a speed up version of "A Taste of Honey" given a jazzy arrangement similiar to the themes used on "The Dating Game" or "The Newlywed Game".

Oh gosh I should have read this first before I gave my initial reply. That's EXACTLY what it is! "A Taste of Honey" - just downloaded the Herb Alpert version of it from LimeWire to check and that's precisely it. THANK YOU!!! This has seriously been driving me nuts LOL At least my husband was on the right track when he said Herb Alpert!

I'm also wondering what is the main theme of this series... It's absolutely impossible to find the information with a key word 'hardware'. So please, if some one knows the artist and/or song title, share the information with us.

This is also driving us insane - the first series is just airing here in Australia and every week we watch it and think "aarrggh WHAT is that music?!" My ex-DJ husband is saying it's a Herb Alpert tune (eg Tijuana taxi...but we know it's not THAT exact tune) so I'm going to have to raid my parents' LP collection when I get a chance :o)

The song is "A Taste of Honey." It was a common cover for bands in the 60's. The Beatles did an incredible version of it, all throatily sung, as well as the Ventures (theirs was an instrumental, like this one).

"It's a crazy world."
"Someone oughta sell tickets."
"Sure, I'd buy one."

Go to Itunes and check out a band Mexicali Brass and the title 'A Taste of Honey.' I think that may be actual one used on the show. Great tune!
