I don't like the title

because I don't think the main focus of the movie was her almost affair with Lily's nephew. It was more about coming to grips with her family's past and why she's been too wrapped up to visit Lily who apparently didn't live very far away. The nephew was a secondary storyline, so I don't think it deserves to be the title. The Australian title Returning Lily seems more fitting because that is afterall what the movie is essentially about.

I thought this was an excellent TV movie. The locations were beautiful and the characters were well fleshed out. I'm glad I watched it. Virginia Madsen's always good.

It really is a good movie, the title doesn't fit. Returning Lily would have been a much better choice. I think though, that the US changed it for reason's we may never know. I sure hope it comes out on DVD, because I believe sadly, I recorded over my recording of it.

I think the title fits.
It's really about a wife with a job she hate, with what she thinks is an inattentive husband and selfish kids.

She's "Tempted" to chuck it all for a younger man.

I agree and the two scenes before the last when Lilly's ashes are spread confirm it. She rather sadly tells her mother she's returning with her family and then the scene with the nephew. She was tempted throughout and maybe still so in the last scene with the nephew. The way she responded to him, letting him caress her hair and face, even canting her head to his touch, let him place her hand on his chest then holding his hand with her other hand, her tears, and the kiss. She initiates it and it's on the lips not the cheek. While kissing him she holds his face in her hands and hesitantly removes them after. Finally he walks away...not her. She said and did nothing to show any regret for what she had done or how she felt towards him. She was TEMPTED all through the end.
