How does this movie end?

I watched up to the part where Emma discovers that Julia is her mother. How did the movie end? I am dying to know. Did they use Lilly's ashes to stop the developers by naming the area as a native burial ground? That is what I think might have happened.

Anyway, go ahead and do me a favor and tell me. Anyone?

Thanks!

I forgot about the ashes scene but Lilly stayed with her husband and her and the hot hawaian guy share a passionate kiss at the end.

Yeah, but the kiss ruined the ending for me. I was wavering about whether she truly wanted to go home and did truly love her husband and family until that point. The scene at the ceremony would lead you to believe that but then she seemed reluctant about leaving when talking with her mother. The kissing scene then convinced me that all she was doing by leaving and going home with her husband and kids was what was expected of her as a wife and mother and obviously her heart wasn't in it. Btw....she really wasn't a very good wife or mother anyway and there wasn't anything redeeming in her that would lead me to believe she would change her ways, otherwise she would never have kissed him the way she did. If the intent at the end of the movie was to show that she found redemption after losing herself and was now a better person, mother and wife then it failed miserably with those two scenes at the end; talking with her mother and the kiss.

I lost interest in this turgidly dreadful film long before the end, but I'm guessing it turns out Lily is still alive and it's her buying up the land next door to the flower farm. Working from a secret undersea control room, accessed from the submerged cave, she sits in front of a big map of the world with lights on and orchestrates the construction a huge missile silo on the land next to the flower farm. But she cunningly disguises the silo to look like a housing estate. Emma and Kala break into the silo and kill Lily by duping her into sniffing a radioactive flower. Then then blow up the missile silo and escape on Lily's subterranean mono-rail...Lily probably has a white cat too.

You failed to mention that Lily survived and shows up in the hit sequels, "Live and Let Tempt" and "The Woman with the Golden Temptation".

Like Matrix, I fight for love.
