One thing I did not like

I loved!!! the Japanese version and this one is entertaining but not as good. One thing that I wish they didn't take out of the remake was when the Japanese Lopez character explained how her partner let her fall when they were competing. And then the Japanese Gere carachter saved his partner from falling but ripped her dress. I was really dissapointed when this was not included in the American version because I thought that added a lot to the Japanese movie and to the characters. When Gere ripped his partner's dress, but didn't let her fall, it had a totally different feeling and after seeing the Japanese verion first I just felt like the scene was lacking without that bit. I'm not sure what there reason was for leaving that out, but I really wish they hadn't.
