Forget the comparison - this is a good movie

Movie was on today on tv and this time I watched it without thinking about how it compares to the original. I'm guessing most of the American audience didn't even know its a remake.

It's an enjoyable film! J-Lo looks sexy and vulnerable and IMO its one of her better roles. The tango with Gere was I think done better than the original and is one of the highlights. And most importantly, it made me smile and made me want to dance.

i Loved this movie too
but iwouldnot suggest this as a dance movie, this more a roamntic comedy, i didnt like the dancing so much, as Ballroom dancing movie take the lead was much better.

shall we dance has better story but Tke the lead has better choreographies
The Tango with Pierre/Morgan(Antonio Banderas and Katya) and the Tango with Sasha, Danju and Ramos was better than the tango with Jhon Clark/Paulina(Richrad Gere and J.LO)
