Tango Scene and it's mental /sexual undertone

I thought this scene was so well done. As she took command from the beginning and instructed him curtly of what to do he was a bit stiff then grew increasingly confident.
It was as if she was exhibiting some mental control whether it be a mental vendetta toward man, coaching and mental preparation for Gere's character or both.
She took authority and control from the start. He was stiff, but focused. You could see she was the professional and that he was the novice. As he grew more confident it became a battle of mental and sexual tension and artistic collaboration...all at once.

The key moment was at the end (climax) where he lifted and twirled her 4 times. At that moment he took control and she became completely taken by his power and lead. She was nearly orgasmic at the end, because it was as if she was trying to achieve some result whether it be psychological dominance or to be overcome by the male strength.

That scene is so symbolic and telling of her demand and needs. But it's the buildup and momentum of the tango and their connection that captures the mood.

The moment he lifts and twirls her is a symblic acheivement of his growth as a student, power as a man and her submission to it which helps her grow as a teacher and dancer.
