It's not a big rant...it's actually a nit-picky rant.
Those damn Supradance shoes she gave him as a gift at the end would have cost ba minimum of $150. You do NOT NOT NOT wear ballroom dance shoes on the street...or anywhere else besides a dance floor.
I still really liked the ending, but that little fact kept niggling in the back of my head.

Why do otherwise well-meaning people find it so hard to let people vent, anyhow? Rant, baby, rant!!
I don't know about dancing but i understand those types of peeves.
I am a gambler and I play craps (as well as opther games). Have you ever noticed how many movies that have a craps scene make it appear that that everyone is excited about 7? In general, 7 is the one number you don't want to see. There are a few minor exceptions, but if you want to epitomize a great session show a double 4 or double 6.

I didn't necessarily think about him wearing them in the street, but I thought, damn it would have been nicer if she had given him the shoes a lot earlier so he could have broken them in before a night of dancing lol. ouch :P
shareYes on both counts.....you do NOT wear dance shoes anywhere but the dance floor and the more you dance in them the more comfortable they are - although I have to say mine were comfortable from the first minute. Not a great movie by any stretch but the DVD was $7.50 so I gave it a whirl. If you like a movie with ballroom dancing go watch Strictly Ballroom - it's much more entertaining!

yes, i have a pair of the patent leather and regular leather supadance... i woudln't even dream of wearing them anywhere but the dance floor haha. i cringe every time i see that
