When is this coming out? Also, does anyone know what this is about? I like the fact that the 4 main characters were all in Pearl Harbor together. Can't wait to see this, whatever this is. (I'm assuming it's about the book, right?)

shareAll I can tell you is that a year and a bit ago, they filmed part of it here (st. George, utah) including a plane crash or something. I work at the paper and we got to print a special fake paper for use as a prop in the movie. :)
shareIt's about some kids that dare each other to get on an airplane and end up being kidnapped or something, that's all I know. That and the fact that there are some really cute girls as extras!

shareActually, jwinchester, you are incorrect - this "Fly Boys" IS about two young boys, airplanes, action, mobsters etc, and is set in the modern day in the American southwest. This film is in sound post production, and will be mixing early summer 2005. Sorry chappy. Check for a different "Fly Boys".
shareThere is a film being cast in England called "Flyboys". Altough this is just a name being used, to protect the films identity in it's early days.This usually indicates it's a big ass film! The "Flyboys" finished shooting some time ago.
shareThe movie called "Flyboys" about the Lafayette Escadrille (World War I American fighter pilots flying for France) has finished shooting and was premiered last week (January, 2006) at the Directors Guild Theater. I saw it there as a guest of director Tony Bill. It was shot entirely with a new digital system (sort of like digital cameras, only much higher quality) and then dubbed to 35mm. There were 600 people in the theater (the largest of three at the DGA) and Tony and his producers are now searching for a distributor. I publish an aviation newspaper called Pacific Flyer and we broke the first story on the film last year. We'll have a review and a lot of other stuff when our Feb. issue comes out. This "Flyboys" is a diffrent one. It was filmed by Rocco DeVillers in southern Utah. They got people from my film classes at dixie to work on the crew.
shareYeah, I wanted to know the release date as well. I was serving my mission in the St. George area when the film was being made. We got to help as part of the safety crew for one of the scenes. I kinda wanted to see this movie.
