A 2 million dollar action film that looks like 20 million!

This movie has got heart, a good story, and some great action that culminates in an exciting, death defying free fall sequence from an airplane! Did I mention that it also has great acting, and cinematography?

There are only two men I know of capable of bringing this much talent and determination to the table to achieve a movie of this quality; one is Robert Rodrigez, and the other is Rocco De Villiers. And I expect just as bright a future for this talented director.

I totally agree. I went in expecting a "childhood adventure" like Stephen King's Stand by Me and for a time I thought it was.
Then, from out of nowhere the storyline takes grown-up plot-twists .... and I felt traumatized (but in a good way)!

(FREE FALL SPOILER AHEAD)

Never have I seen such a horrible scene as where the kid is thrown (or more discarded) out of the plane. To actually see a parachute-less kid being thrown out of a plane, in a child movie ..... well .... that certainly made my heart race just as loudly as the underlying audio score.
It was Brilliant! I was at a loss for words.

Will recommend this movie to all movie fans, family and breathing person I meet. When will it be out on HD? I sooo want to add it to my collection!

Well done Rocco De Villiers! Will be looking out for more of your work.

I rarely ever give a movie a 9, but this one certainly deserved it. What a freaking awesome movie. I cannot believe what I just saw. Here's how you make a movie people. Stop with the pseudo-intellectual plots that go nowhere and make something coherent that while absurd actually fits together in a nice framework!

I could not agree more. Didn't know what to expect when I started watching this movie, but what I got was one WOW! of an adventure. A big thumbs up to all who were involved in making this movie. Big budget movie makers need to study this one big time, because this is how to make a great movie. Everything about this movie was fantastic.

I also gave this movie a 9. It entertained me more than other big budgeted or pretentiously artsy films out there. It made my heart race especially on the free-fall scenes. It got me engaged, enraged (at the bullying) and excited. Everything was carefully made to not overdo anything - no or less corny stuff, no or less dull moments, not much outrageous scenes, very good script-writing. The production and direction was simply amazing, regardless or even irregardless of its budget. It's a TRUE MOVIE.

This movie took me on a wild ride which I enjoyed fully. And I can't say that much to other movies out there.

i just got done seeing this film for the first time and i must say it's quite good, especially considering it only had a 2million budget! cause from the overall feel/quality of the film it felt like it costed 20million+ like the topic says ;)

bottom line... i give the film a 8/10. (especially considering it's low budget, but if i had to choose a 7 or 9 i would say 7)
