haha confusious

at first i was like.. WHAT THE FU** ?!?

either jesse james and Reiley McClendon just Magically shrank before and grew again after the movie was released :P or this movie was made a loong time ago.. then i saw another post with the same question..and it appears that it was filmed what? 6 years ago ? ... now my question is..

Why oh why... the hell did they wait 6 long years before they released this...i would have loved this when i was 12 years old myself haha...

any suggestions for why they waited 6 years ? ( btw which you cant tell but they probably did alot on it to make it look newer since anyway..)

This movie took a long time to put together because it is a low budget independent film. They did all the filming in a few months time, but the director Rocco has spent the last six years working on it full time to make it look as amazing as it does with so little to work with.
Even though it has taken so long I still suggest it to any age to see. I am 19 and absolutely love it. This movie has the magic that reaches to all ages.

Any number of reasons can cause a postponement of a film. Being independent, the producers must find backing for the release themselves. Without a big studio to help them, they must do it all themselves. A recent example is the new film "Perfect Game" that was due out early summer but then put off till August 8. A matter of less than a week before the 8th, the release was again pulled and the studio, Lionsgate, announced that marketing financing did not arrive as expected. Now the new release date is Spring of 09. Some of the kids in that film are in regular series and will obviously look much younger when the film IS released than they do in their current series.

So anything can happen and sometimes does. The producers may have intended for Flyboys(Sky Kids) to be released 3 or 4 years ago once post production was done but financing could not be arranged and the film was shelved until money was found. Whatever the reason, we have to take what we see and live with it. Sure the boys in this film are much younger than they are now, but that's film making.
