Alex , the plot hole!
Alex couldn't have been an alien in the end. Her very first scene in the movie was her wielding a blowtorch! Hence she couldn't have been a heat hating alien!
Any theories to this very obvious plot hole?
Was that Alex with the blow torch at the beginning? I thought it was Melody.

shareI thought it was Alex too... I got pissed because I found the twist unnecessary and stupid... So I went back to check the scene and it is definitely not Alex.

Go back and watch the Talent show portion, Alex doesn't freak out at the blowtorch, so maybe some decoys live life on the edge.
Which begs the question were they playing up the idea guys are stupid or is there a reason why a "random girl on campus" seems to be pretty buddy buddy with the deep undercover alien scout and knows she's trying to get with a certain guy?
Just seems a little strange to me that Alex seems to be one of the boys but has only one female friend shown who apparently knows her very well. And Alex not freaking out from the blowtorch shows that maybe they could have originally been planning that their were more decoys then we knew about.
I refuse to argue on IMDB until the general populous actually uses their brains
