The plot synopsis sounds damn weird. It's like Bill & Ted melted Wayne's World...

It sounds an awful lot like a book I read once. Job: A Comedy of Justice, by Robert Heinlein. Can his family sue?
Sounds to me a little like Neil Gaiman's American Gods, maybe with some of the more humorous elements of his and Terry Pratchett's Good Omens thrown in to lighten the theme. Either one of those by themselves would make an awesome movie; if the guys making this movie do half as well with their own story, it could be an interesting flick.
