Has anyone seen the uncut version of this movie?

Has anyone here seen one of the different cuts of this movie shjown in test screenings? I saw it and I liked it, but the movie seemed like it had been gutted by the studio, all the drama had been cut, and the cuts were obvious. The entire movie felt like a great movie that had just been eviscerated. I was wondering if anyone here had seen a movie with the dramatic elements in tact and could tell me if I'm right or wrong about the uncut version being great. Any answers would be great. Later.

It was made as a drama.... then torn apart just as you said. This was an HBO "project greenlight" film.... and Shia only signed on becuase of the drama in it. They tried to turn it into a comedy....giving you what you saw.

Yea no joke... I still kind of liked the edited version, but they gutted the *beep* out of it... tried to turn what would've been a more dramatic and serious film into a playful comedy. I really need to find out where I can get/see the uncut version b/c those two very serious scenes (on the YouTube clip) that they cut out were pretty powerful form what I could see... and "Project Greenlight" went Disney w/ the editing, pretty unfortunate.
