because so far i havent laughed once, and just kept cringing at how horrible steve carell is.

It depends what comedy you like? It's not laugh out loud material if your not into surreal humour.
I think it's hilarious but we've all got different tastes;)

i love surreal humour(i love adventure time and dr strangelove, it doesnt really get more surreal than that :P), but this was way too in your face without any subtlety whatsoever, and just relied upon baffling the viewer (the first 17 minutes that is), and steve carrells horrible over the top forced yelling was terrible, and i usually like the guy.

I think that the film had potential but was disappointing.

The opening sequence is nothing but premise & one liners... teasing a sexist raunchy film.

It turns out the film isn't that offensive as its reputation nor as people who haven't seen it in a few years.

It's actually rather tame imo. Worthy 00's era comedy.
