I feel like it must be obvious but I had no idea this took place in the 70's.. I guess I need to rewatch it with that in mind.
I guess the whole womanizing thing makes sense in retrospect.. Wow I feel kinda stupid.

That's why people born in 80s don't get it but it's very clever , politically incorrect but will Ferrell has a sick sense of humour and again people don't get him but he's great

What I want to know how did you ,miss that this movie was taking place in the 1970's, Bill Kurtis mentions the 1970's in his narration, but I can't figure out how you missed it. I mean I don't think that there were quite wearing clothes that people would be wearing in 2004, the year that the movie was released. And pretty much you have to be aware now that the sequel is taking place in the 1980's. And I think as you should I am not sure if you see too many guys doing womanzing now a days.

This movie has some cheap laughs, but imo it really is rather clever. I gave it an 8.
