The Comedy Central Lib Train set in motion..

They didn't like the "conservative tone" of the show, so they fired Colin Quinn and hired Greg Giraldo.

Once again, the Air America, Lizz Winstead ilk runs off their talent for political leanings. (As they did with Craig Kilborn.) It's like the MTV of comedy. I cannot stand that so many good shows air on this network, because the producers are reprehensible in their practices. They aren't content just airing programming, they have to make sure it passes their political sniff-test.

And you just know they're behind the scenes bitching about Bush, and how he controls his interviews, or controls the protesters that attend his rallies. Just point-blank, pristine, typical "not us!" liberal hypocrisy.

But they've got their incredibly slanted left-wing perspective on news called "The Daily Show", and that generates ratings, so they're all pathetically happy.

I envision a day were we get our entertainment and news from 2 sources(not one, like the Orwellian's think). One liberal, when Viacom buys Disney(ABC and CBS) and one conservative, when FOX buys NBC-Universal. Then we free thinking people can chose one depending on our mood that day.

Uhh, wrong.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have repeatedly admitted that they don't like liberals.

And if you've ever watched the show, you'd have seen more humor against liberals than conservatives (especially after 9/11). It's not like they only make fun of liberals.

Just as "The Daily Show" doesn't only make fun of conservatives.

After reading Jim Norton's 'blog' notes, I think this show is the victim of the same 'meddling' that Dave Chappelle is currently in South Africa having a 'spiritual retreat' from.

Thing is, 'Tough Crowd' didn't have the ratings to fight against 'the man', Chappelle however, when he doesn't show up for his own show...its a global news story.

the south park guys are libertarians. i'm sure the liberals would love to see that show pulled, especially after team america, but the ratings are just too good. i have however, seen south park getting played less and less, it used to be all over the channel.

if comedy central messed with south park, i'm sure cartoon network would love to pick it up.

reply

Why would liberals rejoice to see "South Park" pulled off the air? The most vocal opponents of "South Park" have been right-wing groups like Focus on the Family.

reply

THANK YOU!! that is what i have been saying since they canceled tough crowd. Who knows they might cancel South Park because some episodes have a conservitive undertone

reply

south park remains the flagship of the station, as much as the station tries to push the next big thing.

AWWW.. poor things I thought that liberals were supposed to be whinners! Cheer up you still have talk radio, for your biggoted, narrow minded, ill informed chatter. The only time that show was funny was when Paul Mooney was on it, showed how ignorant these regulars on Tough Crowd were (including the Black regulars). I'll throw you a pity party.

Oh, right, there's a huge liberal conspiracy. You see, the executives over at Comedy Central are biased, BIASED, I say! Why do I say this? Well, obviously it's because they have a rigid partisan, against shows with low ratings. Stupid liberals, favoring shows that people tune into over shows that people don't. I mean, why do they gotta discriminate over shows that suck? It's just not fair!
