This may be a technical question. After eating the drugs didn't they get digested in ur body. And after eating them how to take it out.

I'm thinking that they have a certain amount of time before the drugs get digested so that they could release them. It's still dangerous when they burst inside you. Maybe that's what happened to that character. The balloon digested it and it burst open.
They are put in balloons (or condoms) and swallowed. That's why the buy said they were "pre-lubed". The one dealer was high when getting the drugs ready and didn't pack them well. That's why one of the balloons bursts.

Maria Full of Grace was a really good movie. Sad but I like that it told in all honesty how dangerous it is for those people.
