Words can't express how beautiful she looked. She was feeling very tired, though. She had her head on the table a lot. Either the sun was making her sick or she just had a long week of shooting. Eric did say they were shooting day and night.
I have acted before but not in Hollywood films. Mostly independent films and friends films. I was acting since I was 5 years old, copying movies that I've seen and acting with my brothers in our backyard and with our video camera. It was very fun, some might not call that acting but playing around. Not for us, we actually had story lines and finished the movies the next week and come up with another one. Even if they were cheesy. I'm thinking of writing scripts for those movies we made.
I don't know, but I think luck did have something to do with it too, because I wasn't the only auditioning for that role. I was actually more nervous at the audition than I was in the filming. I guess you can say that I "felt at home" during the filming, because I was so used to it.
I believe I had three takes for one scene. In the beginning when we're walking out and I'm talking with that other soldier, we nailed the first shot, but the director wanted to do it again. So, we did, but I accidentally bumped against the back of the military jeep's bumper and we had to reshoot it. They were laughing instead of angry. We did it again and that scene was done. Then they moved the camera to the side of the car, from there on out, it was just two takes each, the second one for "just in case" shots.
Lauren was very hot! She sat next to me when we were having lunch, then during filming, I really saw how TALENTED she was. She was scared and sad and tired at the same time because her character was afraid of getting caught and all this turmoil and I saw how beautiful she looked when she passed right by me. We did that scene twice as well.
Now the one scene that I did take my time on was the scene where I'm heading towards the barking dog and looking at the trunk. I did that like three times. The director liked all three takes, one where I whistled. But, I guess they opted for that scene. When Eric and Lauren arrived for their scene, it was really a fun experience. Eric and I did a blooper and we just went with it. He got up from the ground and said in English instead of Spanish, that "You know, my buddy is in the trunk, he accidentally overdosed and I stuffed him in the trunk." I just followed it along by saying in English, "Well, that's okay, I mean, this is Mexico, I've seen some purdy weird things here. You sure he's dead?" Then I stopped because it seemed like the director was a little upset we were taking film space. I guess. It was fun to say the least, though.
Well, I hope Ariel will consider me for another of his movies or someone who's watched the movie to choose me for their movie. That would be great, then I could get out of here and make something of myself instead of working this 9-5 job. It's great sometimes, but it gets boring.
****The closest I ever came to even being remotely close to being in a movie was working in the building where they were filming a scene in the movie "Stranger than fiction". Yeah, not exactly a claim to fame lol.. :)****
LOL! Stranger Than Fiction, huh? Nice! Sorry for the long post, but I thought I would add some detail into the story since it was a very fun time in my life.
