Me and the guys were watching this. Is there anything secret in this calibration exercise, or is it just to set your TV properly? I wouldn't really be surprised either way.

I have not seen this particular "calibration". However, "The Elephant Man" has one as well. And it is used to get the proper contrast to brightness ratio so you can see the film as it was intended.

Press enter at the color calibration screen, and you'll see a short animation (nothing special).
