Did Daniel Day-Lewis lose weight for this role? The scene where he gets out of the bed and he's only wearing boxers, he looked VERY thin and boney.

yes he did. Watch Charlie Rose on youtube and DDL and his wife the director of the film discuss the fim. she sais they fimed it in sequence , so he could lose weight during production. I am a huge DDL Fan.
shareI was just coming to ask the same thing; when he was lying in bed shirtless, he looked EXTREMELY thin. It was even more apparent when he turned around and got out of the bed; you could see every bone in his back! It was a little startling - he's quite handsome, though.
