I watched the trailer, and I am just intregued by the great combination of actors. I would not guess Calista Flockheart, Matthew Broderick and Tony Shaloub would all be in a flick together! And then there is Joan Cusack...great combo, imho.

How you know you are getting old- I've never even heard of the WB dude and find the original comment about the rest of the cast being washed up as totally absurd. I think it looks like a terrific cast. Kind of a lame sounding premise from he writer of speed 2 , but it could be a sleeper.

I am very impressed with TLS cast too- I have not seen Calista since Ali McBeal! I wonder what her character is like...since Toni Collette is the sexy siren (I could not believe Toni's transformation)...

Flockhart is hilarious in this film, IMO. She plays a foul-mouthed borderline psychotic with most of the funniest lines. Come to think of it, all the women have the best parts.
An uneven film though, too sporadically funny to be truly enjoyable.
Jesse McCartney = bad actor. The daytime Emmy's are given out like lollipops at the doctor's.
He's not even in The last Shot.
I love Calista Flockhart since the Ally McBeal days, but I've only seen A Midsummer Night's Dream. But I hear from critics that she is a good actress and that Ally McBeal was a waste of her talents(the last season was messy, but I still liked it.). I heard she was great in "10 THings You can Tell By Looking At Her".
Actually, I think she is a good actress too- imho, The Last Shot will be a good one.

Well, Broderick had been busy for a while doing a little thing called, "The Producers"! Which turned out to be the most successful Broadway show ever. He is currently working on another show and is one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood and Broadway....like him or not, his career is definitley not dead.

I saw The Last Shot too~ I agree that the acting across the board was awesome. Especially Toni Collette! But the actors just fed on each other's talents and looked like they truly had fun making this comedy. I think I will see it again with friends this week~

Ummm... is it just me or were you guys arguing about an actor (Jesse McCartney) that isnt even in this film? Not that even know who the hell he is or care, but I found it odd that you would drag his name through the mud when he isnt even listed in the cast.
