Artless and hamfisted

Compared to other philosophical movies on the human condition - You and Me and Everyone We Know, Synecdoche NY, Being John Malkovich - I Heart Huckabees is terribly hamfisted and artless. Everything is explained - they represent this, they mean that because that is exactly what they're saying, derp dee durr. No lyricism nor subtlety. If it were a comedy it would have a laugh track.
