smug, irritating, pretentious, inept, self-consciously quirky

Yeah, that could refer to Jason Schwartzman's whole "acting" career, or this steaming turd of a movie. This has got to be one of the most smug, irritating, cod-philosophical movies I've ever seen. The director is trying so hard to be quirky, cute, and "existential" that it made me want to puke.

O. Russell should get Wes Anderson to help him stuff Jason Schwartzman into the trunk of a car, then they should both get in the car, and drive it off of a cliff. That would make a great movie.

Or is it possible that you are a different person who sees things differently than the director and the people who like this film?But i guess your ego will not accept that answer,so you attack everything that isnt exatly to your liking.Its ok to disagree about things,especially such things that are as subjective as movies.Doesnt mean you need to be an a-hole about it.It says more about you than about the subject that you are critizing.And no,im not a big fan of this movie or Schwartzman,just stumbled upon this post.I hope you reply to this post,so i can guess how its gonna go and see how close i get.
