Comedy or Horror?

Imdb lists this as a comedy but the subject matter seems to indicate more of a horror angle to it.

What do you think? What would be the main classification?

Horror-comedy ^_^ Evil Dead 2 is concidered one, along with many others

"Marv, this is God. What the HELL were you thinkin?!"

Although the real Columbine massacre was terrifying and tremendously sad and disturbing, this movie about the "Carbine High massacre", a ficticious school shooting which occured in 1999, is a comedy and is not a horror movie. You couldn't take this tasteless movie seriously if you tried. It has moments of humor that you will feel guilty for laughing at. It's like one big sick joke. I think there is some interesting social commentary here, especially with the way the real Columbine shooting was exploited by the mainstream media to make millions and millions of dollars off the American people and the big blame game that followed, blaming everything from t.v. to Marilyn Manson to video games. I think many of the "jokes" in this movie fall kind of flat but in other places they hit the mark and are hilarious. If the idea of watching a dark comedy about a school shooting bothers you or you were in some way connected to a real shooting, I would pass on this. If you're not easily offended and would enjoy a guilty laugh or two and a little food for thought, then this might be something you want to check out.

It's a social satire, with both comedic and horrific content.

It's neither. It's not anything really. It's not funny, it's not shocking, it's not scary, it's not a social satire that hasn't been said before in more eloquent ways.

As I said, it's really nothing. It's not the subject matter that ruins it, it's the movie itself. It's a black hole of an object wherein nothing movie-esque escapes to see the light of day... avoid this garbage!

"Did you mean for all those words to come out like that or did they just fall out randomly?"-H.H.
