Not 'Anti Catholic'....(SPOILER )

The Ecclesiastical Court was probably less worried about Brother Juniper's "conclusions" than it was by the notion that a humble cleric would dare to venture into theological territory considered the exclusive doctrinal domain of Church "Princes". (Saint Francis himself was viewed with deep suspicion by many of them because his emphasis on "Simple" living could be seen as a direct rebuke to the extravagences shown by the Popes and Cardinals of the day.). Poor Brother Juniper, like the hapless victims of the Bridge, was simply a good person in the wrong place, at the wrong time.... The Inquisition is, alas, a historical fact. And bringing it up is no more "Catholic Bashing" than a reference to Auschwitz is a blanket condemnation of Germans in general.
