Ok so this is very late, but a friend just got a DVD of Black Sash and we watched the series.

What a great series! I am hooked into the characters and it will never go anywhere.....I just wanted to see something current with Russell Wong, but actually ended up enjoying all of the characters. Loved Russell in it, especially the relationship with the daughter. Even though it was focused on Martial Arts (To the powers that be- Please give him a shot with something else}, it wasn't the biggest part of the show.

Just wanted to voice how much I liked it.

It`s a shame the WB did`nt give it a chance. I just recently became a fan Of Sarah Carter so i really want to see this badly. ahhh i am woking on a deal to get them on DVD so hopefully i`ll have them soon.

I luved this series when it 1st came out. I made it a priority to never miss an episode...but it was cancelled so quickly like only after 5 episodes. I was highly disappointed and think a lot of people missed out on a great tv show. It's was better than Charmed in my opinion.

I agree! People really missed out. I don't know if it did not get enough publicity or if it was just in a bad time slot. But I luved this show and was highly disappointed when it was cancelled.

Putting it behind Charmed(one of the higher rated WB shows) they thought it would be the best move I guess, but that's been proven to be wrong on at least two occasions. First with Black Sash and also with Jack and Bobby. I might be wrong but didn't Birds of Prey also follow Charmed?

I think they were gonna cancel it after the first episode because the ratings were so low, but decided to give it a couple weeks to show some improvement. It was a lot like other WB shows(bad acting, cheesy, cliched script)...but I did enjoy it.
