no one is familiar with this special. no one's familiar with it and not a soul on this planet cares about it. it's good, though.

If I remember correctly, I may have seen this when I was a kid about 5 or 6 at the time. Seems so long ago, and it was.....scary. I remember it being funny, but really couldn't tell you anything about any of the sketches except I seem to remember one of him in a western with some sort of chimp (kinda like that Clint Eastwood movie where he worked with a chimp).

I'd love to see it. Steve Martin was amazingly funny back then.

The Chimp skit was from an earlier show he did.
This show was a completely different special.
I've got both on DVD if anyone wants a copy.

I'm watching it right now on the DVD set of Steve Martin specials, for the first time since it aired in 1981! I bought all five seasons of the early SNL years and was wondering what happened to that skit at the art gallery with Belushi in the swinging boobs outfit, and only now do I realize its was NOT an SNL sketch, but this special! So many great memories coming back.
