Weird glitch or mysterious box?

So, I had just left the Leviathan, headed for Korriban (my last map) and spoke to the Rodian who asked me to deliver the spice to him. Then, he asks you to deliver the box. Well, I opened it, despite being told not to. I bring it to the Hutt on Tatooine, and then head back to the ship. I get back on the ship, and everyone is in the main area. All gathered around like they are closer to the end of the game. But, here I am in the Ebon Hawk, and Zalbaar is in my party. I can control him around the ship, and now there are two Zalbaars. So I start looking around the ship. I go to the cockpit, and there's a droid there. Looks like the sentry droids that float around certain areas. Only when targeted it was called, I think, a Galaxy Droid. I spoke to it and it says, "Where would you like to travel next sir?" You can reply any location there is in the game, including the Star Forge, Taris, and even the Endar Spire. I chose Taris. It replies, "We have arrived... Isn't technology wonderful?" And now I'm outside the hideout on Taris. It's as though I've restarted the game. I have every character in my party (save for Bastila who was taken on the Leviathon), all my powers and items and everything. It's just as though the story restarted.

Familiar to anyone?

It's an X-Box glitch. When I had it on X-Box, if that glitch came up, I just took off the X-Box and used an old save.

You have come across the legondary Galaxy Droid Glitch. To comtinue playing the game, go back to a different saved game, but if I were you I would also save a game during the glitch. Since I have the game for PC the glitch has been fixed so that I don't have the Galaxy Droid (but everything else happens) but I have heard that you can have some fun playing with it.

The Galaxy Droid was created as part of the game production. While they were working on the game it allowed them to jump to any planet at any time.

Yeah, it is good fun running around Taris with a lightsaber. Makes the duelling really fun too.

I had this happen to me and I just tried exiting the Ebon Hawk with the main player and Zaalbar. Word of advice: Don't do that. The game will go to the load screen but never fully load. It will just freeze. Had to go back to my last auto-save, ugh.

If you have insanely high security and open the security door where Malak and Bastilla are just standing (aboard the Leviathon)....there is an invisible barrier that will kill any character that gets in there. So I switch to Carth and move him there in solo mode. He dies.. then I use my main character and still leave as Bastilla instructed me to do. The mini cutscene correctly shows just you running to the Ebon Hawk (basically allowing you to leave an unconscious Carth at the feet of Darth Malak)while it normally shows both you and Carth running to the Ebon Hawk and it shows you flying away. However, the game crashes at that point but its still a fun idea to push the limits; especially when its leaving Carth behind and being a selfish guy...lol.
