I HAVE NOT PLAYED THIS GAME! So don't spoil it for me

I would like to know, if it's possible to read the story, and only the story of the games KOTOR and KOTOR II in either novel or comicbook form? I don't like turnbased games, and I'm pretty sure that I'll feel the same way about this.

I want to get all the story I can get, before The Old Republic comes out.
Hope someone(s) can help me!

I recommend just playing the game.

If you really, really don't want to, then I suggest a wikipedia article to get the canon story.

man I can't believe you're not going to play this game but you're gearing up for ANOTHER crappy MMO that promises the world and delivers nothing, (WOW anyone?)

Star Trek Online and Star Wars The Old Republic will both suck big time along with WOW and yes I love Star Trek and Star Wars.

Play the game. It's much better than just reading it. If you simply want to read it, go to Wookieepedia. They have a summary. But KOTOR is a fantastic game with a great story, and I doubt TOR (The Old Republic) can compare. Play KOTOR.

I agree, I hate video games and I love this game so much. You have to play it.

The story in this game is best found out by playing it, that's where the fun is and more importantly where you develop "attachments" to the characters to actually care what happens. Still if you want the story try over at the gamefaq site, they used to have the script for the game on there... if you have no luck there try fanfic.net someone awhile back turned the game into a "story" using the script and their own descriptions for the events, it turned out pretty good from what i recall.

KOTOR fan media has tons of writers creating their own interpretations of the KOTOR events, including myself. Only I gave up a while back, because they kept nagging me about my punctuation.

The story is meant to unfold in 1st person, meaning that you have to play the game. I think a lot of people hate the canon version of the story (even though I personally think it makes sense), and I don't think there's a non-spoiler written version of it to read. If I'm wrong please tell me where it is as I would also like to have it.

What that all destined Force Users- main ( not talking about Bas but the PC) are male? That is stupid- and besides I heard the only reason Exile was made canon as female was because some guide jumped the gun and called Exile female- otherwise canonwise Exile would be a male too. Not to be a feminist or anything or to spoil- but it's a joke.

There are quite a lot of famous female Jedi; though admittedly, most of them were directly invented by the EU community, and all but a few were fully endorsed by Big G. Female exile, IMHO was seriously the lamest way to play K2.

I think the closest to a novel based on KOTOR would be their individual Wookiepedia entries.

To sum it up, if you're a Star Wars fan I think you will like this game regardless of any pre-conception you've had about it.

Even if you aren't actively looking for spoilers you can still get spoiled accidentally (as long as you're on the Internet). I think it's best to just play the game ASAP and get it over with. I'm pretty sure you'll end up liking the game anyway (if you're a Star Wars fan).
