Krayt Dragon Pearl

Should I keep it or should I turn it over to the Sand People's Story Teller?

reply

Well, if you turn it over, you'll have lost a powerful lightsaber crystal. You could save before handing it over to see what happens, then if you felt like, reload. Or you could hand it over, then kill all the sand people. I tend to kill them, since you don't get any d/s points and you get a load of useful stuff.

Yeah, hand it to them first then kill them and take it back seems to be the optimum choice.

if you hand over the KD pearl, make sure you ask the Sandpeople Chief to bring out the Storyteller. I guess that's a given; what's the point of handing it over unless you want the Storyteller.

whenever you decide you've heard enough Sandpeople history, do something to offend the Sandpeople. It's easy.

Then kill all the Sandpeople--you'll get the KD pearl back and, if you kill the Storyteller, searching his remains will produce Raito's Ganderifi, a nice 2-handed gaffi stick (melee weapon) with +5 to hit and decent damage. It's handy, esp. if you haven't gotten Ajunta Pall's Sword yet. I like to equip Zaalbar with it, if he hasn't yet gotten Bacca's blade.

Jesus Christ! This game has endless side stories: ive played for 80+ hours, and I had no idea that was even possible.

It's amazing the secrets this game will provide, if you know where to look... For years, I didn't know you could get Bastila to kill Carth; or even do it yourself.

And then there's that whole plotline with Zaalbar at the dark side ending.

You know, if you have Zaalbar kill Mission but spare him and also select him unto your group when you assault the Star Forge, he rebels...basically saying something like "Why the F am I following you?...you're evil!" Its a both to go back to your ship for a 3rd person.... but another fun little thing to do.

Back when the game was out, I tried THREE TIMES to kill Carth myself. I never managed.

Probably you have to first play lightside, and then turn darkside, or something.

Did you try to kill him on the planet? Because that's not where it happens. Plus, you can only kill him if you're female. Not sure if you had to have romanced him or not.

reply

Well, yes, I've been told you need to be female, have a romance, and have to turn to the dark side in the end. Then, Carth basically tries to save you - and thats when you can kill him. Thats supposed to be the last thing that will happen in the game, right after the final battle and before the credits.

I tried three times. I NEVER got the romance with Carth going, though. So now I'm trying fourth time. And this time, unlike before, I'll be pretty lightside at first. Maybe that will finally do the trick to get the romance ! I play as a Scoundrel7/Guardian, for with this setup, the game is so easy, you could even nicely go neutral. I will also focus on neutral powers, too.

This game is extremely sensitive to your setup ... if you choose a good one, it turns just riddiculously trivial (in the end, anyway). If you choose a bad one, man you're just screwed.

Did you save his son? Because that's a major point to romance Carth.
