As A Completist, I Think I'll Stay Away From Roleplaying Games In Future

It just eats up too much time going through every possible scenario, dialogue branch etc. I'll end up doing most of the stuff in this game playing as a male character at least, I've finished the light side story and am now working on dark side story, but I've gotta give this game a rest before doing it as a female character. I think I've learnt my lesson to not purchase these sorts of games in the future. Linear storytelling all the way.

I know what you mean. Playing a perfect KOTOR game could take up to 100 hours total (if you count all the re-savings/loadings). Now I'm playing Dark Side from the beginning to end just to see what happens. I gotta say it doesn't seem to make much sense.

I have to agree. I wonder if it's the reason Bioware changed from "good vs evil" to a "shades of grey" morality system with RPGs like Dragon Age and Mass Effect.

Take my advice rookie. You ever fall for a woman, make sure she's got balls.

Yet, this is what made the game so good, and made other Bioware games less good. It takes up a lot of time, but as long as you spread it out, you've got your money's worth. Would you rather spend 60 bucks on a game that you will beat in 10 hours and never play again or pay 10 bucks pick up a good old game like this and have 100 hours of gameplay in your hands. (not all in one sitting hopefully).

Dragon Age: Origins did a much better job following this original approach though than games like Mass Effect 2. Mass Effect was good too.

I'm playing as a dark side character now and for the most part, It comes down to being obnoxious and complaining a lot. More like the role in an average 80's teen movie than really evil.
