Who Killed Danny Glick.?

When Danny is drowned under the ice it's assumed Straker did the killing. However when the killers face is partially shown it is the face of a beardless younger man not the older face of a man with a large grey beard. Also the killer is leaner and clearly younger than Straker in his movements.

Who killed Danny Glick.

reply

It really was supposed to be Straker. In the book and original film, Straker was the one responsible. What I didn't get was Ralphie's head being found in the back of his SUV.

reply

Yes I knew that Straker was supposed to be the killer but the actor used in that scene clearly wasnt Donald Suthetland. I guess it will have to be marked down as a blooper.

reply

donald sutherland was about 70 at the time of filming, too. he always appears in what think is remarkably good shape in media and whatnot but the whole dragging a good-sized teen around and walking on ice and stuff might not have been advised, insurance-wise.

ps-ralphie killed danny glick. ralphie was the brother killed out in the woods(i actually thought it was realistic and a nice touch that they looked kind of similar in the updated version).

reply

Straker killed Ralphie. "ice-fishing". Couldn't really see him but no doubt it was a stunt double and not Sutherland.

reply

I'd like to know how exactly Ralphie was turned into a vampire. Straker was no vampire and he (Ralphie) was already dead when his body would be presented to Barlow.

I am the Lizard King...i can do anything.

It could only have been Straker. Barlow had not arrived in town yet, and Straker's car had Ralphie's clothes in the wet black plastic bag. The one Floyd saw after they delivered the Barlow crate to the Marsten House.

The book does not come right and directly state who killed Danny. Ben or Matt implied that after Ralphie was killed (and here, there is no question--Straker killed Ralphie as a sacrifice) Danny, who had been cold-cocked by Straker, was then taken to Barlow, where he then became the prey of the vampire. However this, while it makes good sense to me, is not explicitly stated, but is presented as the educated conjecture of one of the two good guys. And I have to say that this makes sense, as who else was there to 'turn' Danny? Barlow was the only vampire in the Lot at the time.

The book, incidentally, does not mention Ralphie becoming a vampire. He just disappears.
